Folkestone beach huts.

The Folkestone and Hythe area offers lots of excellent opportunities for wedding photography. The vast expanse of coastline offers fantastic natural backdrops of water, sky, shingle and the new rock groynes. Even Folkestone's beach huts offer a unique opportunity as shown above!

If time allows, it's always worth taking a little "time out" from the wedding to get some really special and dramatic photographs down at the beach. The Leas offers nice open space and the attractive, well maintained Kingsnorth Gardens [courtesy of Shepway District Council], provides even more photographic opportunities.

Based in Folkestone, Kent, with over twenty-five years professional experience, Alan Duncan shoots weddings all over the south-east and also travels further afield. However, he has a great knowledge of the local wedding venues and photographic haunts in the Folkestone and Hythe area.

These include popular venues such as Lympne Castle, St. Augustine's Priory in Bilsington, between Lympne and Ashford, Westenhanger Castle, near Hythe,  The Grand in Folkestone, Howletts Port Lympne Wild Animal Park and the Hythe Imperial Hotel.More wedding photographs from these specific venues are available to view in the Wedding Venues section.

He is also very familiar with the main churches in the Folkestone & Hythe area such as The Folkestone Holy Trinity Church, St. Leonard's Church in Hythe, St. Stephen's in Lympne, the St. Mary and St. Eanswythe Church plus the Life Church, both in Folkestone.

His style is generally casual and modern, shooting mostly reportage [candid/informal] photographs, mixed with artistic shots and just a few "must have" organized group shots of parents/families. Please click here to read what customers are saying about his work.

Attendance at the bride's home, the ceremony and the reception is included in all packages. Approximately one week after the wedding, you are invited to the studio to view the images as a specially prepared slideshow. From these, your selection plus any framed/textured prints, reprints and Parents Albums can be ordered. Several copies of all the proof files on disc will be supplied to you, to show and pass around to your families and friends. All the packages include one of the latest designer albums, for the ultimate in print presentation. Included are large, full page photographs and pages with smaller multiple images for a more visually interesting “story book” design.

A mixture of black and white, sepia and spot-colour photographs can be included.
